Technical Services sourced the fridge from abroad exclusively for well renowned restaurateur, Mark Hix. The 18th century fridge is of a traditional design with a central compartment where ice would have been placed to provide cooling for the cabinet. Having stripped the fridge down, modern refrigeration technology was installed to produce a state of the art fridge but retaining the nostalgia and history of this beautiful antique.
The fridge has now found it’s home, pride of place in Mark Hix’s newly renovated London home. Technical services also provided air conditioning and ventilation, and a beautiful bespoke square ventilation canopy in the kitchen for the refurbishment project.
